Cruise to Crooked Creek

There is a cruise being organized to sail from OSYC on the 15th of November up to Crooked Creek Restaurant & Marina. We plan to depart OSYC on Saturday, 15 November, at 9AM or after. We will anchor and/or tie up to the Crooked Creek Marina docks to have dinner at the Restaurant. (Please do not use the fuel dock) After dinner we will split up to anchor or stay at the dock for the night, whatever you choose. 2009 Changes to Cruiser Quest

The CQ has changed for 2009. The committee met and decided to make it simpler for the coming year:
1. You no longer have to sail the entire cruise to get credit, only more than 50% of the distance.
2. Keep a log and get credit for total miles sailed anywhere. We would like to a separate tally for salt water and fresh water.
3. There are more places to find on the lake. Some of them have GPS coordinates and others just have hints.

No Excuses.
Our fall racing series will start this weekend, Sept 13 and 14. We will have a very informal meeting to discuss simplified rules and tactics starting at 11:00 AM. If that is not enough we are going the extra mile to set up a start line and practice starting at 12 noon. The race will start at 1:00 PM. We will probably have 2-3-4 races depending on the wind or the lack there of.
