2011 Wild Turkey Regatta

Registration: $30 early, $35 if received after 21 September (add $5 for non-USSA members) Racing will be conducted in accordance with US SAILING, TCA, and OSYC rules. Georgia Law requires a Coast Guard-approved PFD for each person aboard, plus one throwable device and one sounding device. Spot checks may be made. Conditions permitting, the race committee will attempt to sail at least five races. Trophies will be awarded to skippers and crews, three deep. Camping is available on the OSYC grounds. Club rules do not allow pets. In addition, there are several motels in Milledgeville on US 441 between Log Cabin Road and Milledgeville Mall. If you need to be contacted during the weekend, keep in mind that there is no phone at the club. {{Regatta Schedule}} Saturday, September 24 – 1000-1115 Registration – 1130 Skipper’s meeting – 1300 Start first race (races to follow, weather -permitting) – approx 1730 Happy Hour – approx 1900 Dinner Sunday, September 25 – 0730 Coffee and cereal – 0930 Racing resumes – 1300 (approx) Trophies There will be: – beer and munchies after racing Saturday and Sunday – Saturday after racing we will provide dinner or a hot charcoal grill for cooking your own – Juice, coffee, cereal and “sticky buns” available Saturday and Sunday morning.
