Club Sailing Report, Oct 10, 2021

It was a beautiful day for a sail on Lake Sinclair. Although the wind was light, it was mostly present at gentle 5-7 mph from the north, skies were partly cloudly/mostly sunny, and temperature was warm but not hot.

The main group consisted of Jimmy Harrell and Kelly Canaday in Jimmy’s Mac 26, and Jay Harrell and Tim Vacula on Jay’s VX One. During lunch the wind looked pretty steady so we decided to run up to Hauck’s Reef and back. But by the time we got to Airport Island, the wind had turned spotty. Tim and Jay managed to make the full run in just over two hours, and Jimmy and Kelly turned around at Erin Point. Despite the less-than-perfect wind, it was still a good day on the water.

Also seen out sailing Saturday were Mark Sullivan, Sarah Summy, and Dragos Fillimon.
