Mark your calendar’s for Saturday December 6, that is the next long distance race. The early morning temperature for the last distance race was 20 degrees. The forecast temperature for Saturday, is in the upper 30s, with the temperature in the upper 50’s for the race, almost balmy conditions. Last race we had winds of 1-3 mph, this Saturday’s forecast is for 8 mph. Compared to last race we will be racing in a tropical storm. So we have the temperature scheduled to be in the 50’s, with more than twice the amount of wind forecast for this race. Since we had 5 boats racing in the first race under less than ideal conditions, we should have twice the number of boats racing this weekend……..Do you like my logic?
