This year we plan to have our first joint Christmas party and cook out on Sat. Dec. 4, 2010. This should be a grand event for all. Hors d’oeuvre s begin at 5 P.M and supper will be served around 6 P.M. Please plan on $5.00 per adult and $2.00 per child for the meal. We will then have a “Crazy Auction” or “Chinese Auction” where everyone who wishes to be a part, brings a wrapped gift, but with no name attached . Please limit the price of the gift to $10.00 or less. We will draw numbers for order of choosing, but, beware, others have 30 seconds to steal your gift and you have to get another and so it goes. Nautical gifts are highly prized, although even toys are welcomed, as we have children and dotting grandparents. Usually cocoa, mugs or scented candles are a dead end. Be creative! Gag gifts are sometimes the life of the party. As OSYC has Halloween, Fourth of July, or nautical decoration only, we ask that anyone who has a Christmas decoration, to please bring it. You can take it home after the party. Commodore Ken will provide the Christmas tree, and maybe lights…hint, hint. Ken also has some powerful heaters to keep us warm if it is cold.
